What is Pulp?

A richly vascularized and innervated specialized connective tissue of ectomesenchymal origin, contained in the central space of a tooth , surrounded by the dentin with inductive ,formative, sensory and protective functions.

What is Pulpalgia?

Most commonly experienced pain in and near oral cavity. 

Results from pulpal inflammation  that spreads from coronal pulp to the periodontal ligament ,which then spreads to the periodontium overlying apical bone and beyond.
